The Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce that the scholarship application period is open to all high school and current undergraduate college students. This year, Alpha Sigma will give two (2) $1,000 non-renewable scholarships. One will be awarded to a high school senior and one to a current undergraduate college student. There will also be two (2) $500 book scholarship awarded to additional students. 

Application Period: April 1, 2023 – April 30, 2023 – Completed application must be received by this date. Winners will be notified by May 20, 2023.

Applications must include the following items:
· A completed application form with required signature(s)
· An official, signed and/or embossed seal transcript or the official electronic equivalent from the school
· One letter of recommendation
· A typed essay (max 1200 words) in response to the topic question
· A signature from a parent or guardian (if under 18 years old)

Eligibility for High School Seniors:
Scholarships are open to all high school seniors who have been accepted for admission and will be attending an accredited college or university by the Fall semester of 2023. Scholarships are available to students attending high school within a 30-mile radius of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Eligibility for Current Undergraduate College Students: 
Scholarships are open to current college students who have at least one full year left of undergraduate coursework to complete prior to graduation. Applicants must be currently attending an accredited college or university. Scholarships are available to students attending college within an 80-mile radius of Indianapolis, Indiana or whose home address is within a 60-mile radius of Indianapolis, Indiana.
