ARE YOU READY AND EXCITED FOR THE EVENT?! 

This year the women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. are celebrating 100 Years of greater excellence, exemplifying their success in service and leadership across the globe. Sigma Gamma Rho chapters across the world are celebrating this milestone through various programs, service initiatives, and events. The Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. is no different. The Alpha Sigma Chapter will host its first Black Business Block Party at the Flanner House on May 21st, 2022 from 1-6 pm EST as a precursor event to the national centennial celebration.

 

ON MAY 21ST, YOU WILL HELP US BE A PART OF SOMETHING GREATER!

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR DAY OF THE EVENT

THE EVENT IS NOW INSIDE AND THAT WILL NOT CHANGE!

 

ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: 10:30 AM (You will be greeted by the host and members/affiliates of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, and you will be shown to your area for setup). Food/Beverage vendors check in at Flanner House while everyone else checks in at CLD.

 

PARKING: There is parking at CLD and Flanner House

 

ELECTRICITY-We will supply extra extension cords and power strips if needed

 

SET UP- Set up will be TIGHTER now that we are inside. Before it was a 10-foot area you would be given. Now its smaller. Please don't bring any tables over 6 ft long. You are responsible for supplying your own table (1). Make sure your set up is easy to put up and take down. You are responsible for set up and take down. Help may be limited. 

PLACEMENT-First come, first serve basis. Sorors and Affiliates will assist you with where to place your table. We want to go along the edges of the walls first.

 

CHAIRS-please bring your own

HELPERS-Bring whomever you want to help distribute and sell your goods and services

PRACTICE- if you haven't been a vendor before or don't have a lot of experience with this yet, please take the time to practice putting your entire display together for smooth set up the day of the event

BANNERS-Make sure they don't take up more than a 6 ft area

ADVERTISE YOUR FORMS OF PAYMENT-Don't allow your customers to guess what forms of payment you take. 

BAGS/BUSINESS CARDS/BROCHURES-Make sure new customers can become repeat customers. Think about what you will put their merchandise in after they purchase and how they will know to contact you again in the future.

LIGHT SNACKS/BEVERAGES-Will be provided to all sponsors and vendors (up to 2 per company)

LUNCH-Will be provided to sponsors only (up to 2 per company) and we will show you where you can eat.

FOOD/BEVERAGE-food/beverages purchased at the Flanner House needs to be enjoyed there. We will not have tables/areas for people to eat and we want there to be no spills in CLD's facility.

BE ON TIME, STAY THE ENTIRE TIME

Since you are attending the Black Business Block Party, why don't you bring canned goods and non-perishable items to the event and make an even #GREATER impact?

 

Food items will be donated to the Mid-North Bank to help with food needs of the community.
