SWIM 1922
The partnership with USA Swimming is a groundbreaking initiative that seeks to strengthen our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion and increase swim participation and decrease drowning rates in the community. In keeping with USA Swimming’s core objectives: Build the Base – Promote the Sport – Achieve Competitive Success and the Sigma Gamma Rho motto of Greater Service, Greater Progress, these organizations come together to affect change and influence the community of black women and girls.
Alpha Sigma hosts a variety of Swim 1922 informative and interactive events throughout the year.

The Ladies of the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., on August 27, 2022 completed another Swim 1922 Clinic in partnership with USA Swimming!!
Location: Wheeler-Dowe Boys & Girls Club/ 2310 30th Street, Indpls,IN
Time: 10AM-2PM..All ages are welcome.
Prizes, giveaways, and school supplies were given to each participant!
Activities included Run Jump Throw, activity tables and swimming lessons.
