2026 Boule by the Bay - Oh, what a time!!
During the week of July 21-26, 2026, the pretty poodles of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. flooded the streets of Tampa, FL with a sea of royal blue and gold to attend our 61st biennial boule titled as the "Boule by the Bay"! Alpha Sigma's delegation, Life Members, Rubies, Philos, and other attendees were welcomed by the International Board and supporting ICHQ staff with events ranging from a kick-off celebration, to service, our plenary sessions, and more.
Our biennial Boules provide opportunities for training, service, fellowship, restocking on paraphernalia, and of course, the handling of Sigma business. This Boule provided Sorors with workshop opportunities with various topics including building personal wealth, protecting financial stability, and learning more about the new Poodle Portal. Our service opportunities included Swim 1922 and Feeding Tampa, after which, Sorors were able to enjoy various DJs and entertainment throughout the remaining weekend.
Boule was also an opportunity to highlight the accomplishments of several members of our chapter:
The debut Boule for our International Editor-in-Chief of The Aurora Soror Shira Amos, Life Member # 2063;
The final Boule as our International Grand Anti-Grammateus, after three consecutive terms, Dr. Khalilah A. Marbury, Life Member # 2022;
The historic induction of 21 new Honorary Members by Soror Karin Sarratt, Honorary Member Committee Co-Chair, Ruby Life Member # 2200;
The Ruby induction ceremony for Soror Dawn Davis, Life Member # 1234;
The first Boule as a Life Member for Soror Dawn Wright, Life Member # 2499
Missed this year's Boule? No worries! There were three events announced for Sorors to "Save the Date" for that we're looking forward to attending:
