GET IN ACTION | SOCIAL ACTION ELECTION CAMPAIGN
Know the Office
Understand the Responsibility Candidates Hold
The next step to getting #voteready is making sure you know the office.
You know the candidates' names. You've seen their campaign signs, commercial advertisements and social media post. But do you know what the position they're running for actually does? Let's take a closer look at the responsibilities of our elected officials and how their decisions affect our communities.
Why it Matters
Knowing who is on your ballot allows you to make an informed decision before you enter the voting booth. Taking time to learn about each candidate’s background, priorities, and positions helps you understand who is seeking to represent your community and the responsibilities they would hold. Your vote is your voice—know who you’re giving it to.
