Sisterhood in Action: Indiana Chapters Partner to Deliver Essential Storm Relief in Gary

Under the leadership of Basileus Nieka Davis and Social Action Chair Jocelyn Johnson, Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter collaborated with Sorors in Alpha Sigma Sigma and Zeta Gamma Sigma chapter to serve the Gary community. Gary residents are still in recovery from the storms that came to Northwest Indiana on August 11th.

With the help of City Life Center, our chapters were able to deliver over 50 care packages directly to Gary residents who were unable to travel and pick up items. Care packages included a case of water, canned goods, bread, peanut butter, and personal hygiene items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and toilet paper.

Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered to drop off items around the city. 💛Please visit https://www.alphasigma1922.org/socialaction for more information.💙
